Frequently asked questions

It all began with young Nate trying to sell his art cards from the front gate. We decided to help him out, get involved and set up shop at local markets around Sydney.

Where are your cards made?

Our cards are handmade at home in Sydney. Some are Aussie-made prints of bigger canvas artworks.

Who is Nate's Cards?

Nate's Cards is a family biz. The kids and parents all join in to make unique art cards.

Are you a sustainable business?

We do our best to make our products environmentally friendly. We pay extra to source biodegradable cellophane sleeves (the real stuff) to be plastic-free, and are careful not to waste paint or cards.

How often do you do the markets?

We try to be at as many local markets as possible. You can often find us at Balmain Village Markets, Glebe or the Flour Mills in Summer Hill. Follow @nates_cards_australia on Instagram to see where we'll be next and come say g'day.

How do you make your cards?

Our cards are drawn, painted or printed with linoprinting techniques. We use watercolour, gouache, oil paints and paint pens, and archival inks for the stamps on the back.

What are the bestsellers?

We sell unique art cards starring Australian scenes including beaches, views, trees, surf breaks, rock baths, street scenes and skate parks, Aussie animals, and anything else that inspires us. People get very sentimental when they find a scene they recognise from a family holiday or a favourite childhood experience.

What do the cards say inside?

Our cards are all blank inside so you can write your own special message for any occasion.

What type of cards are they?

Our cards can be birthday cards, romantic cards, funny cards, thank you cards, condolence cards or cards just to send for fun or connection. Or you can frame one and live with an affordable piece of original art every day.
